ecospecifier VERIFIED Product Program replaces the PREMIUM Product Assessment and is re-launched with new ‘ecospecifier Verified’ Branding 

ecospecifier has been operating as the benchmark source of verified, life-cycle based information of eco-preferred products in Australia since 2003.  ecospecifier is backed by a world-quality, dynamic team of Sustainable Development and Product experts that keep product information up to date, whilst continually adding new life-cycle assessed ‘verified’ & GreenTag™ Certified Products.

The launch of the ‘ecospecifier Verified’ branding replaces the previous ECG Premium ‘ecospecifier listings’ in ensuring potential customers that the product is an environmentally & health friendly building product and  all manufacturers’ health & eco claims are third party verified. Furthermore, the new, easily recognizable ecospecifier verified ‘tick’ logo enhances existing ecospecifier and other marketing channels for manufacturers and  is a low cost way to assure potential customers that the product is ecologically sound and eliminates ‘greenwash’, helping manufacturers to market their products in Australia and overseas with a well respected and trusted eco-branding.

The ‘ecospecifier Verified’ branding not only ensures potential customers that the product has been rigorously assessed based on the Program Standard but assessments have been Certified under our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.  Verified listings also provide a full-Technical Opinion as to the relevance of the product to all Green Building Council of Australia Green Star™ * credits across all tools and all credits. It does NOT certify the Green Star™ * Materials Calculator credits, but it does provide relevant advice regarding those credits.

ecospecifier Verified Product Program manufacturers and purchasers can be assured that resulting product claims meet the ACCC Environmental Claims Guidelines against ‘Greenwashing’.

Manufacturers, who wish products to be certified under the Green Star™ Materials Calculator, should apply for ecospecifier Global GreenTag™ Certification.  

All ‘ecospecifier verified’ assessments are included in the relevant country website to attract interested green building professionals & specifiers using the site’s powerful Green building rating Tool and Credit specific Search functions and significant web-traffic volumes.
